1. Scope and purpose

This policy explains how Kitchen & Hammond, a resume and CV builder, handles information you choose to enter, the documents it creates, and the Android features it uses. The app is designed to work without creating an account or connecting to a resume-storage server.

2. Personal information you enter

Full name is required to progress past the personal-information stage of the CV wizard. The other personal fields are optional: professional or job title, email address, telephone number, location, LinkedIn profile address, website or portfolio address, and profile photograph. Each field is used to populate the resume you create when you include it.

You may provide a career summary or objective; this is optional. The app does not obtain these details from outside services or create qualifications on your behalf.

3. Work, education, skills and additional sections

Adding these sections is optional. For each work record you choose to create, the editor requests a position/job title to save the record; employer, location, starting and ending dates, current-employment status, and responsibilities or achievements are optional. For each education record, you may enter a degree or qualification, field of study, school or university, location, study dates, grades or GPA, and achievements. The editor requires at least a degree/qualification or institution when saving an education record.

For each skill entry, a skill name is required; skill grouping/category is editable. Other optional entries include projects, courses, certifications, awards, volunteer experience and achievements. Relevant additional fields include titles, organisations or subtitles, dates and descriptions. Languages and proficiency levels, interests, references, custom headings and custom-section text are optional. You can edit, reorder and delete these entries within the editor.

The information in these sections is used to compose, preview and export the CV according to your selections.

4. Saved project and display preferences

The app saves a document title, template selection, update time, section order, accent colour, paper size (A4 or US Letter), selected fonts, text size, spacing and photo visibility with your resume project. It also retains the default paper-size preference separately in the app's on-device settings. These settings let you reopen drafts and preserve your chosen document appearance.

5. Where information is stored

CV projects and their entered content are saved in a Room database within the app's private storage on your Android device. The default paper-size selection is stored in Android app preferences. Temporary rendered previews and generated PDFs may be stored in the app's cache to support preview, export, print and share operations.

The application does not implement an account, remote database, resume-sync service, Firebase, tracking or analytics SDK, advertising SDK or payment processor. It does not request internet permission and does not send your CV fields to the company or a remote app server during normal creation and editing.

6. Photographs and Android permissions

Adding a photograph is optional. If you choose one, the Android system document picker lets you select an image; the app records a reference to that chosen image and uses access granted by the picker to show it in the document. You can remove that photo selection from the CV. The app does not request general photo-library access, camera access, microphone access or location access. It does not request notification permission or broad device-storage permission.

7. PDF save, sharing, printing and support contact

When you choose Save as PDF, Android's document picker provides the chosen storage location and the selected destination receives the document. If you choose Share or Print, the Android application or print service you select may receive a PDF. You decide whether to initiate these actions. External apps, print services and storage providers may process a file under their own privacy terms. Saving a PDF outside the app does not automatically delete that external copy when a project is removed.

The Contact Us : Email: info@kitchenhammond.store section displays a support address. Choosing its email action opens an installed email application, and using its copy action puts that address on the Android clipboard. No email is silently sent by the app. The app does not open a company website or browser as part of the current contact flow.

8. Payments, accounts and external services

This app has no payment, card-entry or checkout feature, authentication or account registration. It does not ask you for credit-card details, passwords or banking credentials. It uses no advertising, analytics, notification delivery, external image-loading API or internet-based product service.

9. Retention and deletion

Saved CV projects remain on your device until you delete individual projects from My Resumes, clear the app's data in Android Settings, or uninstall the application. The app includes a Settings control to clear temporary previews and temporary exported files in its cache without deleting saved resume records; Android may also clear cached files. The current project does not provide a separate automatic expiration time for CV drafts.

Removing an optional photograph from the document does not delete the original image you selected from its source location. Previously saved PDFs or shared copies must be deleted separately from their destination apps or storage providers.

10. Security limitations

Android's application storage isolation, operating-system permissions and your device security settings help limit access to data retained inside the app. The application disables Android application backup in its manifest. No security system can be guaranteed to prevent all loss or unauthorized access, particularly if another app or recipient receives a PDF that you choose to share.

11. Children

The app is intended as a general professional document-writing tool, not a service specifically directed at children. It does not knowingly operate a dedicated child-account or child-profile collection system. Children should avoid entering other people's personal information without permission.

12. Your choices and policy updates

You can leave optional fields blank, amend information, change or remove photographs, delete saved projects and decide whether to export, share or print documents. If the app's data handling changes, this policy should be updated and the revised effective date shown in the application.
